From just being a modeling competition finding ambassadors or spokespersons for its tourist beach resort which started out four years ago, Mr and Miss Hannah’s Beach Resort Ecotourism pageant has definitely come a long way.
Having this beautiful Pagudpud beach resort awarded with so many citations from Department of Tourism, Department of Natural Resources and its various local agency counterparts over the years, the organizers behind this annual search, led by its owner, Ret. Air Force Col. Ricardo Nolasco Jr., are really taking their advocacy seriously. Just being named as the “Most Outstanding Individual Initiative on Environmental Management” for its effort on protecting and preserving our ecotourism industry which provides sustainable livelihood projects for their surrounding communities is definitely no mean feat. I feel like this is a micro-Miss Earth pageant with a specific environmental agenda legitimizing the modeling search’s existence. This is definitely one modeling search nothing to be sneezed at.
So it is not a surprise when this modeling search has expanded its scope in terms of attracting participants. What used to be a homegrown competition has slowly become a steady force in attracting participants from all over the country. In fact, this modeling search has become a springboard for a handful of popular pageant figures we have in our country now. For example, Mr. Hannah Ecotourism 2015 Karan Singhdole went on to win our country’s first Man of the Year title last year and Miss Hannah Ecotourism Ambassador 2014 Sara Christine Bona was an official candidate of Binibining Pilipinas last year as well.
Truly, this modeling search has come a long way by calling our attention to pressing environmental matters and giving all the glory and accolades back to their beloved Pagudpud province. So let’s all come and support the festivities of this year’s modeling search starting with their preliminary competition this coming Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Market Market!
Honestly, with a modeling search that has strong environmental grassroots and great line up of contestants as well, wala ka ng haHANNAHpin pang iba!”
